Simple Ore
Mineralogy
The Meadowbank gold ores are simple in mineralogy and chiefly consist
of iron sulphide (pyrrhotite and lesser pyrite) and native gold.
Mineralized zones are non-refractory in nature and contain only
trace amounts of arsenopyrite.
Standard
Ore Processing With High Gold Recoveries
Feasibility level analysis indicates the gold depostis at Meadowbank
are amenable to a conventional ore leaching process with recoveries
expected above 93%.
Low Cost
Gravity Separation
Processing will include low cost gravity separation with recoveries
varying form 20% to 55%.
